Pregnancy

Pregnancy (Latin for "gravitas" [1]) is the carrying of one or more children, known as a fetus or embryo in the uterus of a woman. In a pregnancy there can be multiple gestations, as in the case of twins or triplets. Human pregnancy is mainly studied mammalian pregnancies. Birth is usually about 38 weeks after conception, or about 40 weeks after the last normal menstrual period (LNMP) in humans. The World Health Organisation defines as a normal period for deliveries between 37 week.

Terminology
A scientific term for the condition of pregnancy is pregnant and a pregnant woman is sometimes referred to as gravida.  Neither word is used in everyday language. Similarly, the term "parity" (as "para") is abbreviated used for the number of previous successful live births. Medical is a woman who has never been pregnant, as nulligravida, "a woman who is (or has only been called), pregnant for the first time as" primigravida ", and a woman in subsequent pregnancies than multigravida or" multiparous. "  This would be described in a second pregnancy of a woman as "gravida 2 para 1" and on live delivery as "gravida 2, para 2". An in-progress pregnancy and abortions, miscarriages, stillbirths or account for parity values less than the gravida number, whereas a multiple birth will increase the parity value. Women who would never achieve a pregnancy have made more than 20 weeks of gestation age is,] as "nulliparous" [seventh]

The term embryo is used to describe the developing offspring during the first 8 weeks after conception, and the term fetus of about two months of development to be used for up to birth.

In many societies, "medizin or legal definitions, human pregnancy somewhat arbitrarily divided into three trimester periods, as a means to simplify the various stages of prenatal development. The first trimester carries the highest risks of miscarriage (natural death desEmbryo or fetus). During the second trimester, the fetal development easier monitoring and diagnosis. The beginning of the third trimester is often like the point of viability or the ability of the fetus to survive, with or without medical help, outside the womb.
